An approved payment certificate is not necessarily a paid one. We follow the certificate's cycle from submission to actual payment: reconciling executed works against contract items and responding to the entity's technical and financial remarks.
Where delay is unjustified we take the legal route: formal notice, then a claim for the certificate value and delay interest, having regard to any arbitration clause in the contract.
We also follow penalty deductions, preliminary and final handover conditions, and the release of retentions.
